expert Olympiad (EO) has been conducting Offline examination (paper-based) exam in Schools over the past years; However, due to the current global situation, it has proposed to conduct expert Olympiad Online exam for giving a better opportunity for the students to appear in the exam from the comfort of their home.
This year, expert Olympiad exam for Schools will be conducted :
- Paper-based exam, which will be conducted on (28th jan, 2024). The student needs to fill the form in the school and the exam will be conducted in the school premises during school hours. The respective forms will be sent by us.
Recognition and Awards

Recognition & Medals
Recognition is the best form of appreciation. Each participating student will get a certificate. The student who scores
- 95% or above will get a Scholar Certificate along with a Gold Medal
- 90% to 94.99% will get an Outstanding Performance Certificate along with a Silver Medal
- 80% to 89.99% will get a Distinguished Performance Certificate along with a Bronze Medal
- 60% to 79.99% will get a Participation Certificate
- below 60% will get a digital Participation Certificate
Scholarship
The top 3 students from each class will be awarded
- National Rank 1 - Scholarship of ₹11000 + Memento + Medal + Certificate + Student kit.
- National Rank 2 - Scholarship of ₹7100 + Memento + Medal + Certificate + Student kit.
- National Rank 3 - Scholarship of ₹5100 + Memento + Medal + Certificate + Student kit.
Thirty minutes video interview of 100 marks will be conducted for top 10 marks holders to decide the top 10 ranks.
Note:
A minimum of 60% marks in the Expert Olympiad-Online examination is required to get a scholarship. If none of the students s cores 60% marks, then the scholarship will not be awarded to any student.
In case of any confusion, the decision of the Academic Council will be final & binding.
The student is not eligible to receive the scholarship for the same class again. For example, if a student is getting a scholarship for class 3rd (through Winter Offline / Online Exam).
Ranking Criteria
In case two or more students score the same number of marks, ranks will be determined based on the following criteria (weightage will be given from top to bottom):
- Rule 1 - The student who will get more marks in the Scholars' Section will get a higher rank.
- Rule 2 - The student who will get more marks in Maths will get a higher rank.
- Rule 3 - The student who will get more marks in Science will get a higher rank.
- Rule 4 - Students who will get more marks in Mental & Logical Ability will get a higher rank.
- Rule 5 - Time taken by a student in completing the exam paper. The student who has taken lesser time will get a higher rank.
- Rule 6 - If two students get the same marks, the younger student will be given preference.

Exam Details ( Through Schools )
The Expert Olympiad (EO) is an advanced test that challenges students to apply their learning and thinking by answering challenging questions, which are not usually asked in standard tests.
- It's a Paper-based/Offline Exam open to all classes 3 to 12 students studying in participating school
- Paper-based Expert Olympiad (EO) exam is conducted through school. Students have to fill the form in the school, and the exam will be conducted in common Centre.
- Medals, Cash Prizes and Scholarship for each Participating School: Student has better opportunity to earn Medals, Cash Prizes and Scholarships.
- If you are a student and want to participate in the paper-based / Offline EO exam, please contact your school teacher. They will be able to provide you examination form.
- Paper-based / Offline Expert Olympiad (EO) is a single paper exam of Hundred (100) marks. Question papers will contain questions from Mental & Logical Ability, Mathematics and Science.
- Exam Duration: 60 minutes, No of questions: 50 questions for students from class 3 to 12.
- Syllabus: Question papers will be comprising of questions from Mental & Logical Ability (20%), Mathematics (40%), Science (40%).
- Negative Marking: There is a negative marking for each wrong answer of 0.25( 1/4 ) Marks.
- Thirty minutes video interview of 100 marks will be conducted for top 10 marks holders to decide the top 10 ranks.
- Exam Fees: INR 500/-
- Paper-based Exam Dates: 28th January, 2024.

Note:
- Each winner will be entitled to one award only. The winner will be entitled to the higher level award only. In case two or more students get the same rank, an interview will be conducted to decide the award.
- A minimum of 60% marks is required to get a scholarship or cash prize.
- To determine the fair conduction of exam, ISTSE can conduct interviews of the kids. Sixteen marks interview will have the highest weightage.
- We are very serious about fair conduction of the exam. Using unfair means during the exam is not acceptable. If found guilty, answer-sheet will be discarded. Repeated offender student/school will be barred from all future ISTSE Exams.
